Dayna Santana
Dayna is a co-founder of Ember Collaborative. She is a passionate women’s rights advocate and humanitarian who was previously based in the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh. At the moment, along with Ember Co, she is focusing on her fledgling NGO, Maiya School, which educates teenage girls living in refugee camps. Dayna is a forever-student, currently doing post-graduate research with Sydney University and never wants to “leave school.” When not working on her various projects and studies, you can find Dayna reading, surfing or exploring.

Why Ember?
An ember represents potential, resilience and growth. It may be small, but with the right conditions, it can spark something powerful. Embers endure. They stay alive even in tough conditions, much like the women who are part of our gatherings. And when brought together, embers can fuel a stronger, more lasting fire. In the same way, our collaborative thrives on connection, shared purpose, and collective strength. Ember represents what happens when women come together: a spark becomes something enduring.
An ember has ignited.
